This is important, I need your help...

For those of you who don't know...I live minutes away from downtown Beamsville. Just days ago there was a devastating fire in our local 2 For 1 Pizza shop. The blaze was called in just before 4am and firefighters fought it until about 7am. If you take a look at the behind the shops there is a rooftop, well, there was a rooftop. A family lived there. A mother, her daughter and their cat, Mr. Whiskers. We know them. Yep, the mother is an ECE who works with our youngest. The daughter goes to school with our children. This is all very real.

But here's where it gets really tough. The mother was laid off in was a little tight. They didn't have insurance on the contents of their apartment. They need our help.

Think of all your worldly possessions and then think about what you need just to get through a regular day. Imagine replacing it all. All of it. Please help.

Contact me @ for more details. We are looking for big things and inventory is being kept. The girl is 11 and going into grade 6. She is size 10-12 and wears size 6 shoes.

School starts in 2 days she only has what was packed in her bag as she was away when this happened, thank God for small favours.

For more information about the fire see here.

Please help.

Hi Heather, this is Liz from Sew4Home. Since I can't really send any of our S4H samples, I'm wondering about the little girl. I have a daughter a bit older and we just went through her closet. Some of the things she's outgrown are really quite nice, brand name items. Do you think it would be appropriate to send something like this? I don't want to offend them by sending items that are not brand new. Let me know what you think. If you feel it would be appropriate, let me know an address to ship things to.
