Cake anyone?
I am not very good with buttercream frosting (I much prefer to work with fondant) so that is why there was much drama around this one!
DH seemed to enjoy his relaxing day at home...our living room is almost ready to be painted he was just doing some finishing touches on the trim yesterday.
Enjoy!Heather

It's got to be 2 pages!
I have 2 frames in my Workshop that my DH painted and hung for me to display some of my work. One of those frames is still empty (they've been there for more than a month now) so he was very excited to see me Scrappin' (as he affectionately calls it) and immeadiately asked if they would be posted! So sweet!
I need to get the pictures printed for real and finish the second page before they go up but I am very thrilled with these layouts!
Enjoy!

Snowflake Tutorial

Gift Card Class
The first card we did had some *BLING* to it! It had vellum, sparkles and a rhinestone brad! Such fun! The large snowflake was created using the small and large Tag Punches...I will try to put together a tutorial this weekend. I do love this card! The bottom flap is secured so that a gift card or certificate can be placed inside the card.
I think this one is SUPER sweet! Thank you JanTink for the great Blossom inspiration! Of course I added my own special flair but I do love her work! Thank you for your inspiration Jan!!!
This is the sedate card of the bunch...the ladies loved it as much as the others though! Cambria Turnbow has a great tutorial on how to make this giftcard holder...it's not for the folding impaired but is so fun! It looks really great when the opposite sides of the designer paper contrast!
Enjoy!

Both my nephew and my son LOVE Cars and Lightening McQueen is of course the all time favourite car so I grabbed a colouring book, copied the best picture I could find (in this case it was coloured purple!) and copied it and enlarged it to create a template.
I hope he likes it!

Super Grover, Super Dad!!!
So, to create this page (it's one of my favourites!) I used the t-shirt folding technique but decreased the paper size to 2.5x4 to make it fit on my 6x6 page. I love the belt too! I was so impressed with how perfectly the hodge podge hardware worked and the perfect size!

Paper: Creative License - Simply Scrappin' Kit, Blue Bayou
Accessories: Hodge Podge Hardware, 1/4" Chocolate Chip Ribbon, 5/8" Chocolate Chip Ribbon, Unigel Signo Gel Pen, Popdots

One happy stamper!
Well, I went to http://www.random.org/ and asked for a number and it came up with the number 14...so, I counted and it seems that Latisha is our big winner! Thank you so much for all of the attention! You have all made me a very happy stamper!!! I especially love that some of you are coming back to see what I have been getting into!
I hate to put up a post and not have a photo to share...so I thought I would take some photos of my workshop to share. I believe this is the cleanest this it has been (DH is in the middle of doing some work so there are some tools on one of my tables)...I don't usually use that type of hammer on my cards!!! We are still working on the room and will be for the next several months but for now this will do. Anyway, I must get back to preparing for this weekend's workshop!
Enjoy!

Hello, my name is Heather and I am an addict...
We have some boxes from our move hanging so we were going to decorate one of those...well, we found a smallish box but the thought of decorating it made me sad...I knew it just wouldn't make the cut (well, my cut at least!)
The next thing I knew I spied DH's empty coffee can in the recycling (the large tin)...I don't know what came over me but it spoke to me! So, here is Buttercup's challenge! She choose the papers, stamps and embellishments (even the ink colour)...we had a great time! Buttercup can't wait for her day to show her treasure box!!!
So, here's the scoop!
Supplies;
Stamps: Doodle Alphabet
Ink: Pink Passion
Paper: K&Company (yes, from the same box...it's just too fun!), Whisper White, Pink Passion
Accessories: Crop-a-dile, Stickers, ric rak, Fiskars Circle Cutter and mat
Step 1
Cut 12x12 paper in half, glue to can (there will be a gap you can cover this with ribbon or another colour of paper - I recommend that you do this at the bottom so it doesn't interfere with the lid)
Step 2
Use your Crop-a-dile to punch holes in the can if you want a handle on the can (this makes a great drum now too!!!)
Step 3
Glue ribbon and other embellishments on tin (we used stickers from Michaels' and ribbon I had from some sewing projects)
Step 4
Cut second piece of paper into a 5" circle (I used a Fiskars circle cutter) and glue to the centre of the lid to cover the writing.
Step 5
Decorate your lid as desired. Buttercup loved stamping her name and glueing it all together...poor girl was worried about not centering the paper.
Step 6
Stop right there mom! This is not your project...but if it was, I would fill it with something fun...I will share some ideas with you later on (after Buttercup's special day) but for now it's filled with some of her small dolls to share with her friends at school.
Step 7
Find the right support group...because at this rate I am going to be doing homework soon!!!
Enjoy!

A Bloggin' Gift for a Lucky Guest!
Such fun! This was one of my favourite Make & Takes...the really cool part is that it has a cute little pocket inside...but we will save that for another day!
I just wanted to share some eye candy with you and remind you that there are only a few days left to win that BLOG CANDY!!! The best part is that I wanted to celebrate hitting 1,000 hits and here I am not a week later up to more than 1,300 hits! I am so, so, so excited!!! (Helps me justify this time spent to my DH!!!)
Enjoy!

Thank Blog for my Readers!
So, I am delighted to announce that I am going to have some great blog candy for one lucky, lucky participant! It is not finalized yet but there are for sure going to be some great papers from K & Company, accompanied by some Stampin Up! Inspiration Sheets. I would like to add some Card Candy to this (fun embellishments created by moi!) but we will see if time permits!
Now, in return for this fun opportunity, I would ask that you, (my beloved readers!), leave me a comment and tell me your favourite post so far or something you would like to see in an upcoming post. I will randomly draw a number next Tuesday afternoon so be sure to post by the end of the day Monday or early Tuesday morning!
Any questions?
Enjoy!
