A little something to share...a give away!

Sew...when I was trying to decide what to get for some of the most important people in my life, well, a few of the women at least...I thought long and hard. I had been planning for sometime to get them each a copy of The Happy Baker but I wanted to make their gifts special and memorable like themselves...

Then, I found this pattern. Created by Sew Liberated, it is a fabulous, flattering apron that is fairly easy to put together (the directions are totally fabulous!) I ordered the pattern on-line and waited...and waited...and waited...after 3 weeks I started to get worried so I e-mailed them. We gave it another week and still nothing so they sent another copy of the pattern Priority post.

Finally, I got my pattern with only a few weeks to spare before Christmas. Without much thought I set to work. I chose my fabric and made 3 aprons assembly line style...I am not a fast sewer and I had other work to do...in all it took me about 5 days to make 3 aprons. I was thrilled!
I love the fabric, I love the pattern...and argh! I didn't make one for myself!!! In fact, I didn't have enough of all the fabrics to do it...oh well...Then what do you think happened? I went to pick up my copies of The Happy Baker at the Post Office and guess what was there!!! The second copy of the Emmeline Apron Pattern!
In the meantime I carefully wrapped the cookbooks with the aprons and brought them to 3 beautiful women I know...they all loved their gift. Each of their responses was enough gratification to pay for my work...I love each of these women...they are all very special to me and have helped me in their own way.

Anyway, back to that extra copy of the pattern...I still have it! In fact, Sew Liberated has given me permission to share it with one lucky reader! Sew leave a comment and this beautiful pattern could be yours! Become a fan or mention that you are a fan in an additional comment and you will be entered a second time.

Contest closes January 31st at midnight. Will ship pattern anywhere in Canada or the United States.

Enjoy!

Bind it All Batman Blog Candy!

Some of you may have seen this card organizer at Pampering Fest...I had a lot of people ask to make one or buy one but I kept saying no. I hate saying no...but the binding was just too expensive.
I bought a Bind it All Machine and now we can do the class and a whole lot more! I am so excited!!! We will also make a mini-organizer in the class that is just the right size for gift cards, business cards and wallet-sized photos! How cute is that?

For those of you who are wondering what I am so excited about here is a sneak peak inside the organizer (this one has the expensive Staples Binding but you get the idea). Each pocket has a paper so you can write down all of those important dates and keep using it year after year.So do you want one? Huh, huh? Well, for starters to celebrate having more than 10,000 hits (I know it happened a little while ago but I have been busy!) Take a look! You can a Card Organizer, a mini-organizer, So Many Scallops Stamp Set and some rub-ons. Just leave a comment by 7pm on Monday March 2nd on this post telling me how you found out about Creative Bug and/or my blog. I will use a random number generator to choose a winner! The winner will be posted no later than next Wednesday.
For those of you who don't win but still want a Card Organizer and a Mini-Organizer, register for my workshop on Tuesday March 24th from 7-9pm and you can make them with the Designer Paper of your choice from the latest Stampin' Up Catalogue. Payment and registration are required by March 8th so all supplies can be ordered.

Enjoy!

PS. In case you are wondering, Wednesdays are generally about survival for me...it is the busiest day of my week!

One happy stamper!

Hello Everyone!

Well, I went to http://www.random.org/ and asked for a number and it came up with the number 14...so, I counted and it seems that Latisha is our big winner! Thank you so much for all of the attention! You have all made me a very happy stamper!!! I especially love that some of you are coming back to see what I have been getting into!

I hate to put up a post and not have a photo to share...so I thought I would take some photos of my workshop to share. I believe this is the cleanest this it has been (DH is in the middle of doing some work so there are some tools on one of my tables)...I don't usually use that type of hammer on my cards!!! We are still working on the room and will be for the next several months but for now this will do. Anyway, I must get back to preparing for this weekend's workshop!

Enjoy!

Thank Blog for my Readers!

Well, I am very impressed! I really only launched the Creative Bug Blog a few months ago and am so pleased to see that I am up to over 1,000 hits! I know that's small time for some great bloggers out there but we all have to start somewhere!

So, I am delighted to announce that I am going to have some great blog candy for one lucky, lucky participant! It is not finalized yet but there are for sure going to be some great papers from K & Company, accompanied by some Stampin Up! Inspiration Sheets. I would like to add some Card Candy to this (fun embellishments created by moi!) but we will see if time permits!

Now, in return for this fun opportunity, I would ask that you, (my beloved readers!), leave me a comment and tell me your favourite post so far or something you would like to see in an upcoming post. I will randomly draw a number next Tuesday afternoon so be sure to post by the end of the day Monday or early Tuesday morning!

Any questions?

Enjoy!
